I was supposed to have a job in Popular, but something tells me that I probably won’t get the job after all. The manager told me that she would call me back next week, but seriously, I really doubt that she would call. So now, new plan is to find another job.
I was considering MOS Burger, since it was the first job I thought of before I went into Popular to write out the application form. lol
I tried editing the code for Ren’py, for making a visual novel. I think I mentioned it before in the previous post. The Python code used to be super confusing to me because I totally didn’t understand how it worked. But then, after playing around with the codes for a while, I began to get the hang of it. It’s kinda like how HTML is to me right now though. I can read, understand and edit, but I can’t write out my own from scratch. It’s kinda frustrating but I guess I’m just too stupid for computers after all. lol
There is also another type of code (not sure what the name is) that is used in Aegisub. I’m slowly getting used to it, but I’m still nowhere near to learning how to properly understand and edit it. So far I can only change the colour of the text and stuff, but I don’t really get much of a chance to edit and play around with the effects since I always use pre-made ones that I find on YouTube. It’s pretty confusing, but its variety of effects is really amazing.
I began watching SKET Dance, and then reading the manga when I caught up with that. It’s quite interesting how both sides actually use things that can only be done in the medium to their advantage. For the anime, there was several things like the motion, visuals, music and timing that can be used to create a comical effect (and in several times when the characters break the fourth-wall), while the manga uses things like the frame size and the font (this is usually by the scanlation team, so I’m not too sure) for the comical effect (and they, too, break the fourth-wall). Somehow, though, after you read the manga, the anime starts to become… somewhat shitty. It was like that for Fairy Tail as well (coincidentally, both anime are done by the same studio, A-1 Pictures). The anime tend to add to many details that weren’t in the manga to make the story flow, but also tend to lose out on some vital information that might have made it more comprehensible or more interesting. That’s just my opinion, really. I can’t wait for the anime to adapt the OGRESS arc and the Happy Birthday arc as well. Those two were pretty epic and shocking. I find that the Switch Off arc was pretty nicely done in the anime. I felt like crying. T^T
Originally, while watching the anime, Dante quickly became my favourite character. It was also interesting to find out that his voice actor was GACKT. lol Feels like the perfect guy for him. XDD But then, while reading the manga, my favourite character became Tsubaki. He was also the cutest for the Biscuit Dance chapter, and it’s really interesting to watch how him and Bossun slowly grow closer as brothers (I’m kinda like Himeko for this part XDDD). Right now the manga scanlations are only until volume 18, though the manga already has 21 volumes released. That means that unlike manga like KHR and Fairy Tail, it’s is not being done week by week with the Shounen Weekly Jump releases.
I also watched Ao no Exorcist. The anime was pretty interesting, but it felt kinda cheesy near the end, when it started to diverge from the manga’s plot. I liked how the class banded together to save Rin during that court scene, and I was pretty disappointed that it was not in the manga. But one thing’s for sure is that the brother is going to become a demon as well. Poor kid.
Went to church today. There was this aunty, who is an acquaintance of my mom that got onto the newspaper. And guess what it was for. lol
Apparently, on an innocent trip to Johor, my mom’s friend was cheated of about RM 10k by this random guy on the street. And the thing was that the Malaysian police doesn’t bother to help stop the con-man. It’s kinda stupid, really. You would have expected them to actually do something about this, but they didn’t bother. But Singaporean police actually bother about things like this, maybe due to media. It’s kinda worrying how stuff like that is happening. What was that terrorist again? Mas Selamat? Well, that guy managed to slip past Singaporean police, and was caught by Malaysian police. Kinda makes you feel that Singaporean policemen are pretty useless. But then now you see that the Malaysian police force is pretty lazy towards con-men on the streets. It’s no wonder they would dare to do something like that so openly in broad daylight. I’m shocked.
I wonder what we can say about this. Singaporean police is only able to settle small problems like con-men, but not a serious one like a loose terrorist? Malaysian police is only enthusiastic about terrorists but not con-men? Actually, I can’t really say about the Singapore police force having the ability to settle small problems. It’s already common knowledge that if you happened to have something stolen by an unknown thief, you’re probably never going to get it back. Even when they write reports about the stolen belongings, they are mostly written halfheartedly. It’s obvious. If you lose a Nokia phone, the report writes Sony. If you lose $1 million, the report writes $100.
Seriously, you’re never going to get your stuff back.
I wonder why they even waste time to make shows like Crime Watch on TV. Are you seriously that bored? Do the police have so much time that they can actually go on to share with the media about their operations? It makes you wonder why they are even doing this. Is it for publicity? It’s really stupid that way, isn’t it? It feels almost as if the security of the country is held in the hands of the media.
Also, I heard something pretty shocking today. There was a Sec 2 girl in Singapore that actually went to Facebook to boast about slapping her nagging mother. Seriously? You actually went to slap your mother? If it was 20 years ago, just one word of protest from you would have made you unable to sit on your butt for a month. We have canes and discipline then. Parents were in charge of the house, and teachers were in charge of the school. Teachers can cane their students if they feel that the students have done something wrong. And parents support them. But now, what happens? A teacher hits a student’s hands, and the parents complain of child abuse. What the heck? Now my school even have parents complaining about having their child stay overnight in school for a 3 days 2 nights camp. What the hell?? Is it that difficult to let your child stay overnight in a school?? Is a terrorist going to climb over the school gates to put a bomb in the freakin school? Is a pedobear going to sneak into the school to molest the kids?? Are you stupid? Terrorists would rather put bombs in a government building than waste time breaking into a nameless neighbourhood school at night. And pedobears would rather go somewhere else than to enter a school at night where they may not even find anybody there. It’s kinda stupid what kind of things go through the mind of parents these days. I’m really baffled. Each generation may be getting smarter and smarter, but they are nowhere getting anywhere wiser. Now parents don’t even have the courage to hit their child when they do something wrong. Seriously, if you don’t hit them, they are never going to learn. If they don’t learn, it’s going to be even worse. Especially now when all the schools do is to make you memorise things, and not to learn. Education is really just to memorise now. You don’t get to learn the important stuff like character. Oh wait, we do have character development programmes. But the problem is that the kids themselves are so prideful that they stopped paying attention to those. It was already like that in my time, and it wasn’t difficult for me to see that I was the only one paying attention to character development classes. Sometimes I ask myself why I am I the only one, and then I realise that it was because of my mother’s old-fashioned method of taking care of kids. It’s like that. The fiercer the parents, the more obedient a child.
So what now? We have a nagging mother, and a girl who slaps her mother twice across the face for nagging at her. Okay, there is no proof if she really did slap her mother, but it’s a fact that she boasted about it. Really? Is it such a joyous thing to do? It is so honourable? Are you going to get a prize for it? Oh yeah, and I know that a lot of people are going like “She’s just a kid, don’t be so hard on her”, “She might just be immature”, and even “I hope that you’ll continue to be strong,” and shit like this. You’re just going to encourage the freakin bitch to continue. Even worse, inspire her friends to do the same thing. Yes, she’s a kid, and she needs to be lectured. If you’re just going to be nice to her, she’s just going to get worse. Wait for her to mature? F*** that! She’s freaking 14, and you want to wait for her to MATURE?! I was already thinking about my future, having dreams by then! She’s f**kning old enough to be mature!!
Oh yes, and I read about this comment too. “This is what I feel about the negative point of social media, people become too judgmental and jump to conclusions quick because of others’ opinions.” Oh well, I’m sorry for being judgmental, but you seem to be forgetting that she BOASTED ABOUT SLAPPING HER MOM?? In fact, I haven’t seen any other opinions about this, and I feel pissed already. It’s good to be nice, it’s good to be encouraging, but at the very least, LOOK AT THE PERSON YOU ARE ENCOURAGING AND BEING NICE TO. Somehow, I’m pretty sure she’s laughing at the idiocy of her supporters.
And is that all? Hell no. The girl strikes again. This time, she boasts about stealing her mom’s jewelry, pawning it for $10k, and then buying a LV wallet. No, better yet, she takes a photo with the money to show off. You still want to encourage and be nice to a girl like that? Are you stupid? Are you a moron? Have the memorising of shit in school caused you to be unable to judge a person by their actions?? Okay, seriously, I don’t care if the girl is hot or looks like crap, she’s just a freakin bitch. Really. I won’t be surprised if she started sleeping with boys from her school. That’s just how I imagine her. Yes, I’m prejudiced and judgmental, whatever you want to call me, but at the very end of the day, you have to see that the girl needs to be lectured and taught a lesson. Get all the fierce and strict teachers you can find. Tie up the girl in a prison cell or dungeon. I don’t freakin care what you do to her, but at least make her learn her lesson.
I pity her mother. But at the same time, she has to realise that the fault may have been in her way of educating her daughter.
Oh wow, I realise that I had been going on and on about complains. I’m not really sure why, but I guess I just get a little agitated over stuff like these. I hate those younger than me, somehow. I have general respect for those older, but usually I’m not that way to those that are younger. I don’t like the fact that they try to get close to me and do things without thinking about respect at all. Oh yeah, there is this junior from Red Cross, a Sec 1 girl I think, that is just like that. Once, she slapped me across the back, trying to say hi. What the f**k?! Is that the only way to say ‘hi’?! You do know that you are just beside me, and just one word of ‘Hello’ would do the job??
I freakin hate kids.
